Wine Rendering on Dell XPS Laptop

I am trying to get Wine to render Beersmith 2 well on my laptop, but it is crazy small because my display resolution is so high. Has anyone had any success making Wine programs more attuned to display comfortably to a 40-something's eyesight?

Hello from Indianapolis

I am a Linux user since about 2002. I have used a lot of distributions--Red Hat was my first (before it was called Fedora, even!), SuSe next, but mostly I have used flavors of Ubuntu since about 2006. As far as Desktop Environments go, I have become super-comfortable in Gnome 3; still am. I toyed ar...

Re: Minecraft Desktop Launcher (of all things)

I just used the instructions on https://solus-project.com/articles/gaming/minecraft/en/ and it worked just fine. I have no idea what the difference was, but it works. So weird.

Minecraft Desktop Launcher (of all things)

I have Minecraft downloaded, and I have the Oracle Java RTE installed. Works fine launching it from the command line. (I keep the .JAR in ~/Games/Minecraft/, so I launch it with java -jar ~/Games/Minecraft/Minecraft.jar.) All of that is no problem. Here's the trouble... Last night I decided I wanted...

Did you add your user in the input group, start the service, ...

That is a good tip, thanks. I did do that. The trouble isn't that it doesn't recognize the trackpad; the trouble is that the application simply won't open/start.

Unresponsive Desktop: Budgie

A few times now, when I log in as a user, the screen becomes frozen and unresponsive. I am able to Ctrl+Alt+Delete to get to a restart machine window, but I probably just need to refresh the desktop. Anyone else seeing this issue?

(I am on a Dell XPS 13 Touchscreen running Solus Budgie.)

Dell XPS 13 Touchscreen: libinput-gestures and Screen Resolutions

I just installed Solus Budgie on my Dell XPS 13 Touchscreen this morning, and so far, I am really happy with it. I am having two struggles, though, that I was hoping someone might have some hints about: libinput-gestures I installed it from the Software Center (assuming it would be the most up-to-da...
