Re: HP Laptop - Intel/Nvida Solus 3 Install?

I'm wondering if a Solus 4 developer is reading this will Solus 4 allow my laptop I posted on the 1st posting to use my Nvidia chip for gaming and not just default to the Intel? Under windows 10 I have great gaming with this laptop but on most linux it can't seem to see the Nvidia chip? Try this - ...

Re: Tearing Screen Nvidia GeForce

Have you tried 'Force Composition Pipeline' in nvidia-settings? I'm on KDE with a 1050Ti and I have to use this because KDE's compositor doesn't have much of an effect. I never had the problem on Budgie but for all I know this may be because of a driver version. There are others on this forum that ...

Re: CUDA support

Do you mean that Solus users will never be able to use CUDA? I see many distros are using it like RedHat, Fedora, Arch, Debian, Ubuntu... This is not what I said (see here for example), but currently the license of the cuda toolkit prevents it from being added in the repository. As far as I know Re...

Re: CUDA support

Cuda license does not allow re-distribution. I'm not talking about re-distribution. Cuda toolkit and is free - https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-downloads like the nvidia drivers I'm talking about the ability for us as Solus users to use the power of our GPUs under GNU/Linux . I like to see Solus a...
