button.lid_init_state=open
to your boot options using

echo 'button.lid_init_state=open' | sudo tee /etc/kernel/cmdline
and then run

sudo clr-boot-manager update
It's happening because the lid state isn't properly set to being open. This fix worked for me on my blade 2015.

Just posting this to confirm that I am having the same problem. I had the same problem on KDE spin fedora 27 as well. It seems to be an xorg problem since this is happening regardless of whether or not I am using the proprietary NViDIA drivers. After updating from install, I can now only use one of ...
