Re: Battery applet not working

Packages are up to date, just ran another update to make sure and rebooted. The applet still won't update. It does if I kill budgie-panel, but I'm not sure that's a satisfying workaround. ;)

Battery applet not working

For some reason, the battery applet will only show the battery conditions from the time it was started. It doesn't seem to have crashed as it'll show the percentage and time remaining if the cursor is on it, but it doesn't "update" those values. The entries in /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0 are correc...

Touchpad scrolling

If I enable 2-finger scrolling, the touchpad on my ThinkPad L440 will scroll just fine with 2 fingers on it, but it won't let me scroll using 1 finger on the right side of the touchpad. On the other hand, that will work if I disable 2-finger scrolling. Is there a way to have both methods enabled at ...

Solus getting famous in Germany

There's a 2-page review of Solus in the current issue of c't, Germany's biggest computer magazine (and pretty much the only one covering Windows and Linux alike). It's quite positive, they like Budgie and the installer. The only negative point is about the Software Center, but they mention that eopk...

Nvidia-glx-driver-modaliases - necessary with non-nvidia gpu?

Whenever I update the kernel using

Code: Select all

sudo eopkg up
on unstable, it also updates three packages, nvidia-304-glx-driver-modaliases, nvidia-340-glx-driver-modaliases and nvidia-glx-driver-modaliases. Do these packages serve any purpose if I don't have a nvidia GPU or can I just remove them?

Re: New To The Forum? Introduce Yourself :)

I'm from Germany. I chose Solus because I got bored with Xubuntu 14.04 on my ThinkPad L440. When I bought it I wanted to run Arch on it, but was incapable of installing both Manjaro and the real thing due to EFI and other issues, so I gave up and settled with Xubuntu. Recently I decided to look at o...

Re: How to "init main-x86_64 profile"?

Thanks. It's great to have a distro where noobs get their questions about unsupported stuff answered by the founder himself. :)
