Re: Microsoft Office on PlayOnLinux installation error

I'm not an expert, but in my experience, PlayOnLinux is not a good method to install Windows programs. I'm not sure what are the differences between PlayOnLinux and Wine, but I had successful installations with Wine where POL gave errors. So, try Wine, or try both of them in another distribution to ...

ssd temperature

Hi. My question is more about how linux deals with ssd drives and how can one accurately monitor the temperatures in linux, than about Solus. Anyway, here it is my problem: I observed that in Windows 10, my ssd temperature is 25-27 degrees Celsius, and in Linux is 10 degrees higher. What is the expl...

Re: Why does solus default look ugly compared to this?

Re: Failure at installing goofiboot

Hello. I have the same problem. How can I remove the "EFI/Boot/bootx64.efi" file from the ESP drive? Thanks. On the Solus live USB open 'Files' and then go to 'Other Locations' > SYSTEM > EFI > Boot. In the 'Boot' directory there should be that bootx64.efi wich you can just delete. Thanks, now I'm ...

On your ESP, please remove the file "EFI/Boot/bootx64.efi" and then reinstall, sorry.

I'll try to get an emergency patch out

Re: Still unable to boot to live

the only recommendation I can make is that you please wait for the 1.1 ISO to be released (which is very soon) - that actually resolves these boot issues. Ok, part of the problem is solved: I succeeded booting in the live session. I liked it and I wanted to install it on the bare metal, but somethi...
