Re: Hot Corners and Expose function = exclusive for Ubuntu Budgie? Or not?

I read that as meaning that posts should have some substance in contributing to the discussion on this request for Budgie 11, and not just be a "+1, me too" type thing. Maybe I misunderstood that. Whatever the case, what that request thread shows is that there were other people who were interested e...

Re: Hot Corners and Expose function = exclusive for Ubuntu Budgie? Or not?

if this functionality is not planned for Solus Budgie in the near future, would it be possible to "borrow" those additions from Ubuntu Budgie? The question is why don't the Ubuntu Budgie dev contribute back to Budgie by upstreaming their work back to the main repository instead of keeping it separa...

Re: Hot Corners and Expose function = exclusive for Ubuntu Budgie? Or not?

It appears there hasn't been much request for them (this is the closest I could find https://dev.solus-project.com/T5582 ). Typically things don't get added if no-one wants to use them (or makes a request for them so that we know people want to use them). I did a search. Some requests do exist, but...

Re: Hot Corners and Expose function = exclusive for Ubuntu Budgie? Or not?

I mentioned it in a forum post early on, as a wish list, before the new bug report site of Solus was up. https://solus-project.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=479&p=2882&hilit=kwin#p2882 Then I managed to get skippy-xd to work with bl-hotcorners, so that request was not followed up. https://solus-pro...

Re: Skippy-xd stopped working

Correction.

After rebooting, it looks like you're right. Skippy-xd doesn't work any more.

Re: Skippy-xd stopped working

I use skippy-xd with bl-hotcorners instead of libgestures and it was still working last night. So perhaps skippy is not at fault? bl-hotcorners is a python script from the crunchbang/bunsenlabs people: https://github.com/BunsenLabs/bunsen-utilities/blob/master/bin/bl-hotcorners I saved a file with t...

Re: App icon missing on taskbar when running a .AppImage application.

Appimages may not come with their own pre-made desktop launcher.

You may have to create your own .desktop file and save it into $HOME/.local/share/applications. In the .desktop file you can assign an icon to it.

Re: How to add more background images ?

Install variety from the software centre. It's a wallpaper changer. With that, you can add your different folders containing your wallpapers to the pool of backgrounds, without having to move/copy them to a specific single folder. There are lots of settings/options in variety for you to customise ho...

Re: "we'll provide and manage /vmlinuz and /initrd.img symlinks in our own root"

You could try installing grub to the Solus / partition to see if that fixes the problem. Noted. I'll try that over the weekend. Is it just: sudo eopkg it grub or are there other packages to install? ...by choosing to 'not install bootloader' Solus will then do a type 2 installation. That failed for...
