Re: Skylake still no good

I think it's the Intel portion of the GPU, it boots up perfectly well. I'm assuming it's using the noveau (sp) driver. It's unable to reboot or shutdown, it just goes to a flashing cursor at the top left of the screen. If I try to run inxi or lspci, it hangs at the terminal and no output is given. T...

Skylake still no good (for me)

I am having the same issues on 1.2.0.5 that I saw on 1.2.0 with my skylake laptop. Shutdown/reboot hangs the laptop and i'm unable to run commands like lscpi, it hangs the terminal. I'm sure they are related to the intel chipset on the laptop. Maybe 1.2.1 will allow me to run solus once again. I can...

monthly .iso ?

Now that Solus is a rolling release, any thought to a more frequent .iso or some sort of cycle so people don't have to download a lot of updates? Not everyone has fast internet still.

Need to post your hardware information so you can get help, otherwise it's like shooting in the dark.

Re: Any Chance to use Solus on a Skylake-System?

Unlike others, Solus will boot up without having to set "nomodeset". Try that, I have a skylake system and i'm able to boot and load 1.2 but it does have some issues. If you like you can wait until 1.2.1 comes out shortly, that will have some improvements for skylake.

Can you post the result of

Code: Select all

inxi -Mn
for your system please? This is probably a skylake system.

Also, which dependencies where needed based on a current 1.2 system?
