In case you have a well trained - potentially cloud-based - Bogofilter working with Claws Mail etc. and want to keep it alive in Solus.... If not done so far, install the developer tools for Solus: sudo eopkg it -c system.devel sudo eopkg it linux-current-headers You will also need the berkeley data...

Re: I do not see popup when I insert a USB

I wonder what kind of "problem". Solus automatically mounts the removable device's filesystem(s) if possible. That's mostly nice, except the case you don't want to have it fully mounted. But what else should possibly happen?

Re: Main menu falling in from top of screen

For the virtual Solus you may try "nomodeset" as boot parameter, this helped in my case. (Before, Solus was trying to set the login screen size a couple of times, but without success and gave up with a small black screen.)

Re: opera web browser

Noticed this too, filed a bug an hour ago, and got an answer from Josh Strobl:
`opera-stable` is distributed in our repository and will be available to stable on the next sync. As a result, it was removed from 3rd-party and Software Center.

Re: How to play midi files?

Generally and afaik (not an expert for this), the OS isn't responsible for "decoding". The intention was to load a soundfont into the soundcard, and a midi command executes something on the soundcard hardware to play a note. In early days you have had a hardware midi port on each soundcard, somethin...

Re: Keyboard not working.

Today I caught it in the act. Have a very slow virtual enviroment here, fresh and pure installation for testing. Installed java and arduino there and had the arduino ide open. Left the virtual solus to do something else, then clicked back into the arduino editor. Saw the cursor there. A blink of an ...

Re: Can't unlock lockscreen after inactivity

I noticed the same issue some time ago. When a VB owns the keyboard, the lockscreen is unable to get it back. As a workaround I pressed Ctrl-Alt-F1 to login in a terminal to kill the VB from there, then going back with Ctrl-Alt-F7 re-enables the login window. Maybe there's a way to send a more usefu...

Re: Bluetooth Headset QuietComfort35

I know that's not helpful, but I tried my Sennheiser PXC550 with Solus. It needed a few attempts, and the major struggle were the audio settings, not the bluetooth ones. It was rather confusing and I surely can't reconstruct the way to do, but was finally successful.
