OK, thanks for the info. This will work in the future, and for specifically installed pkgs, but for distro included pkgs (firefox, thunderbird, libreoffice, and others I have removed) there may be unneeded dependencies left behind. I tend to "tweak" my systems quite a bit (delete stuff, add stuff, et), so could be something I did.. :roll:

Thanks for testing.

I installed (budgie-haste-applet) as a test, but it did not cure the issue.

It seems to crash as its updating the repo.
