Re: How can I install Solus on USB Flash Drives?

I use a virtual machine to install Solus on USB device : create a VM that boots on live Solus ISO and attach your USB device to that VM. When you launch the Solus Installer, you can choose your USB device as the target for installation. Be aware that the USB device will use GRUB (not sure how to pre...

Re: Is Clementine available now?

Clementine is available as a snap :

Code: Select all

snap install clementine
You might have to reboot if you're using snaps for the first time.

Re: Web Apps and Site Launcher in Budgie?

It's possible but you'll have to do it manually or retrieve the files for the apps you already have. Usually, those files (*.desktop) are kept under "~/.local/share/applications". For example, here's my google-drive.desktop file : #!/usr/bin/env xdg-open [Desktop Entry] Version=1.0 Terminal=false Ty...

Re: Battery life on the ThinkPad X260

There's a small typo in /etc/systemd/system/powertop.service (powertop is in /usr/sbin, not in /usr/bin) :

Code: Select all

[Unit]
Description=Powertop tunings

[Service]
ExecStart=/usr/sbin/powertop --auto-tune
RemainAfterExit=true

[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target
