Mouse cursor issue after updates

After the last updates (February 5.) there is something strange with the mouse cursor - there is sort of a "box" under the mouse cursor (see the attached images). This makes the system hard to use, as the box hides text etc. I have a laptop with Nvidia GTX 960/Intel 530. Anyone knows what's going on...

Solus boots into black screen with 4.13 kernel

After last weeks updates, my system fails to boot many times; It boots successfully every third or fourth time.
The other times it just boots to a black screen after the boot menu option is selected.
I have an nvidia GPU, but the drivers are up to date.

Any suggestions?

Re: Rapid Photo Downloader fails to start

It actually started working a few minutes ago, but Python-QT5 has been installed the whole time.
I tried launching it after yesterday's updates, and got a new error mentioning. gexiv2.
I installed this, and now Rapid Photo Downloader starts :)

Rapid Photo Downloader fails to start

I have installed the new (QT5-version) Rapid Photo Downloader from the repository, but it refuses to start.
I believe the last line in the error output is essential;
ImportError: No module named 'PyQt5'
As far as I can tell, QT5 is installed. Any suggestions?

Re: Solus boots into emergency mode after updates

Thanks for the tips :) It was something with the file system of an internal disk (not root or home partiton, a disk used for storage only). The journal was invalid, and I couldn't mount it in Solus or through a live disk. As I have also had some problems with the EFI partition being too small I deci...

Re: Solus boots into emergency mode after updates

Both kernel versions are listed in the boot menu, but they give the same result.
I can see if there are more lines that give more meaning.

Solus boots into emergency mode after updates

After installing the newest updates today (May 29.) I am greeted with the emergency mode.
The output of journalctl -xb is here:

I have no idea what's wrong - any suggestions?

Re: clr-boot-manager questions

I mounted the UEFI partition and deleted some of the old kernel images manually. Then I ran sudo clr-boot-manager update , and it ran withour errors. Everything has been fine since that :) However, I would like to know the answers to the questions in my previous post to prevent this from happening a...
