Re: Show mounted drives on desktop?

It's funny that way, but I've grown to love it. The drive is mounted. It just wants you to see it in file manager first. I like the delay.

When I don't need filemanager, just sdc2 (or whatever) immediate access, I just do it in Disks with a keystroke and boom there's the desktop icon.

Re: Night light randomly switches off

I think the reason for this bug is imperfections in the way long/lat and sundown/sunset etc etc are calculated by the program. Maybe more of a hiccup than a bug. Just a guess. I don't use solus night light but instead installed redshift from the repo. Very happy with it as I have it set to dim in th...

Re: [Solved] Bootus Interruptious

I try to give my help as a layman (as you do), very detailed so someone may emulate it. For me the magic of verbosity is the nuance and tiny details are there vs. a 2- sentence blurb. Everything is in the small details and nuance--that's how I learn at least, and I'm sure many others do as well. It'...

I like it. :) I'm working on this issue: When connecting my printer ML-1640, everything works fine, driver will be installed and the printer is ready, but when I try to print a page, the machine is working and the led-light is ...

Re: Brother printer/scanner DCP-7060D

Hi F3Spirit, I am snowdust who initiated this conversation. I can confirm to you the following: 1) Since yesterday, I am testing a printer driver for the Brother DCP-7060D developed by sunnyflunk. This driver is currently in the unstable repo. 2) The good news is that it is working, I can print. 3)...

Re: [Solved] Bootus Interruptious

I have an old rig running Win7 on an old WD drive, too. I found value in your post as I've been thru this before and forgot sequence of how to get back up and running. (difference between our situations is I am now running Solus from an external HD, assigning it first boot. That's how I got around t...

Re: Everytime someone says "SolusOS" there is a penguin somewhere that falls down dead.

I agree with the other two posters that you want to differentiate yourself, linguistically, not from linux competition, but from your platform competitors (ms/mac). I don't run the joint, but I'd consider re-thinking this marketing point as far as branding. People do conscientiously say "OS" becaus...
