Personally, I directly edit ~/.config/redshift.conf. Since the config file is well documented, I find it much easier & quicker.
FWIW, here is my config file, I just removed lat & lon

WOW, exactly what I needed. Thanks for taking the time and sharing, Kyrios. Happy Friday to you!---Brent

Re: Face Unlock on Solus?

I don't have an answer for you in a million years but it's a fascinating question. You load Windows, you are post-bios, and some face scan thingy runs and verifies you before the desktop populates and the OS can run? I really doubt you could partner this Dell camera program with Linux....but I wonde...

[SOLVED]: Redshift software question; settings won't hold

Hi y'all. Recently replaced my LCD. It's bigger, but offensively bright. I've exhausted the Acer settings and turned to Redshift. This loop goes to infinity: $ redshift -b -v DAY 0.6 Trying location provider `geoclue2'... Using provider `geoclue2'. Brightness values must be between 0.1 and 1.0. $ re...

Re: improve the forum

Well what angle do you approach the forums from? (which determines what aspects are important) Or what are the goals of the community - For Solus community to have somewhere to talk - For support, i.e. needs people to use it to answer questions It's likely that both goals are at odds with each othe...

Re: Greetings from America

I discovered this gem called Solus. I'm not afraid to admit that I'm after a distro that has a windows feel to it. This fits the bill, but also has the flexibility that keeps me tied to Linux. Welcome. Your post makes me feel like subjectivity is everything. All I wanted from a distro was sleek, lo...

Re: Hello Solus

Welcome to here. I consider it a daily OS as well and quite lovely. I personally think it's cool you want to transition careers like that. That takes guts. And one last thing: I stopped counting after 39. Forever 39!

kaffeine test drive peril

Long story short: --found an old VCD with old 60's avant-garde music video clips on them that I've never been able to watch (what a treat!) --gnome mpv DOES NOT play .vcd files --kaffeine does, installed caffeine repeated system freezes and hard re-boots UI sees and plays "kind of" the vcd but ALL f...
