Re: Samba Status?

Just installed Solus v.1.2.0.5 and had the same problem. I added

client use spnego = no

to the [global] section of /etc/samba/smb.conf and got connected to my time capsule (SMB).

Could you please confirm samba is not yet completely enabled?

I cannot access WORKGROUP on the LAN and I get:

sudo systemctl start samba.service
Job for samba.service failed. See "systemctl status samba.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.

Appreciated you can help in fixing this.

Setting up testing and tackling issues with samba to make sure it works great out of the box is part of the post-release workflow.

If you prefer it in a marketing-fashion language, click this link instead of the one sunnyflunk gave just above

I have that problem too , it is not a priority for me , but when i came to try to share a folder it happened that :

"You need to install at least either Samba or NFS in order to share your folders"

When i check if Samba installed , or launching Samba service via terminal it is ok BUT when i check via command line

Code: Select all

sudo systemctl status samba.service -l
it tells me that :

● samba.service - Samba AD Daemon
