Yes, you can watch Netflix and Amazon video on Solus. I am presently doing it under Solus-Gnome, but this will work with the desktop environment of your choice. Here are the steps.

1. Download Google Chrome
I found the graphical install of Chrome hung the system. This method works flawlessly. Open a terminal on your Solus desktop and enter this code.

Code: Select all

sudo eopkg bi --ignore-safety https://raw.githubusercontent.com/solus-project/3rd-party/master/network/web/browser/google-chrome-stable/pspec.xml

2. Install Chrome

Code: Select all

sudo eopkg it google-chrome-*.eopkg

3. Log off and login

4. Make sure Chrome is installed and run it.
Then voila! You can navigate to Netflix or Amazon video and watch to your heart's content.

Follow this link for more information: http://www.fosslinux.com/1470/how-to-in ... -solus.htm.

Google Chrome has all of the built-in codecs you need to watch Netflix and Amazon Video inside a Solus machine.

Yup its how I watch Netflix. Just activate the DRM (It was ask you to do that automatically if you have not done it yet) and Netflix works flawlessly.
