Was your system up to date before you started?

Do this then try the instructions again.

Code: Select all

sudo eopkg rebuild-db
sudo eopkg up

Thanx that solved my problem with system.devel install. But now after installing every suggested package my POL says that it cannot find 32-bit OpenGL libs. I've checked mesalib-32bit is installed.

Do you have an nvidia card? If so it might need the 32bit proprietary nvidia drivers.

Hey, is it possible to create a desktop icon for playonlinux? I know it creates them for the programs it installs but what about it, itself? Becuase I found its kinda buggy to me like after I close terminal to open a program it works sometimes and sometimes not...thanks.

You can create a .desktop file using alacarte then copy that to ~/Desktop

Yes I have an optimus laptop. But I didn't install nVidia drivers and as I understand was using just intel graphics. Anyway I've installed nVidia 340 now and turned intel off in the bios otherwise system wasn't booting. And I still get the same message: missing 32 bit OpenGl libs and Xterm. By the way Wine is not working either.

Also installed nvidia-340-glx-driver-32bit? That's what you'll need now with the nvidia drivers. I don't believe Xterm is required to function properly (but will have an error on load). Wine is currently a WIP

As a matter of fact I did not. =) That's what I needed. POL is working now. Thanks.
But I'm wondering is there a way to make it work on Solus without nVidia drivers using just intel graphics?

You should add imagemagick to the list.

Also this guide could be expanded pointing to installing 32bits OpenGL libraries.

Playonlinux requires wine, wine should depend on the appropriate 32bit libraries instead.
