Cool seeing how everyone sets up their desktops in their own unique way.

Here is my fresh Solus 1.0 RC1 install.

The beauty of customisation! Really liking seeing everyone's desktops, gives us inspiration to make it even better.

Nice. I've got Variety compiled locally too, been trying desparately to get it to build but to no luck so far.

I should have mentioned this is Budgie built on Arch, courtesy of Ikey. Since this is my work as well as fun machine, I valued the relatively large number of Arch packages over Solus (at this point). Someday I may switch but for now I'm sorta vested in Arch.

It is only because Ikey has been kind enough to share his hard work with the greater Linux community that Budgie is not limited to only Solus. That speaks more about Ikey's goodness than words ever can. To me, that is the essence of Linux and FOSS. :)

I know how hard you work also, Justin. I've read the package build logs. :)

I love Budgie. To me it is like a '62 Corvette with a 350 cu. in. engine. Fairly light, extremely powerful. :)

Thank you, Solus Team! :D

Regards.

You're most welcome c00ter and kind words thank you!

What is it may I ask that we're missing on Solus? I'd love to know. I still have an Arch VM, Debian HTPC, Ubuntu VPS etc :)

Pacman. I'm just too friggen old to learn another package manager. And I hate your installer--hate it! :D

Seriously? I'm vested in Arch & the Architect AIS (formerly Evo/Lution AIS). And I'm enthralled by Budgie, thanks to you guys. So I've now got the best of both worlds as far as I'm concerned. It's like Christmas came early. :D

Again, thank you. :D
