Accessing Dropbox files on Windows

Fri Oct 13, 2017 1:29 pm

Someone recently swayed me to try out Ubuntu Budgie.
I begrudgingly did so, but was pleasantly surprised to no longer have to enter a password everytime i want to access files on Dropbox located on Windows side of dual bootin' system.
In fact, bookmarked folders there are treated like normal Linux ones.
No fuss.
Have yet to see this happen in any Linux distro.

Still miss Solus though.

Have you tried different mounting options for your Windows partition?

I think you can change the settings via the gnome disk utility (the little gears symbols). Turn off auto-mounting and select mount during boot. Does that help?

Okay, i'm back and Solus is on too!

Bookmarked folder on Windows stays at reboot but still have to log into Windows side in order to access.
If i catch your drift, this is the way things should be configured in order to access with having to enter a p.w. every time:

If so, then it's not doing the trick as Ubuntu Budgie can.

Works for me. I turn the automatic options off and my drives mount automatically on boot with no having to type a password in.

A bit late in the game...

I can access the files in read mode only. ;)
Can not save new docs there.
