Rapid Photo Downloader fails to start

Sat Oct 21, 2017 8:20 am

I have installed the new (QT5-version) Rapid Photo Downloader from the repository, but it refuses to start.
I believe the last line in the error output is essential;
ImportError: No module named 'PyQt5'
As far as I can tell, QT5 is installed. Any suggestions?

This should fix it:

Code: Select all

sudo eopkg it python3-qt5

It actually started working a few minutes ago, but Python-QT5 has been installed the whole time.
I tried launching it after yesterday's updates, and got a new error mentioning. gexiv2.
I installed this, and now Rapid Photo Downloader starts :)

That's because you updated your system and you got the update of rapid-photo-downoader which automatically installed the python3-qt5 dependency instead of python-qt5 (which is for python 2).
