Screenshot keyboard shortcut note functioning

Mon Feb 22, 2016 8:34 pm

Hello,

An other report, I don't know if I make something wrong but nothing of the screenshot (and video) shortcut functioning for me.
I tried to reassign it, but isn't working more.

(But the manual tool functioning)

No error message, just nothing.

It's not mapped, you may be able to map it in Keyboard Settings to gnome-screenshot, I'm not sure where it'll place the output file though. Likely either your home directory or Pictures directory.

Hi,

I didn't find any options on gnome-screenshot who permitted to map shortcut.

But it does not matter.

Thank you for the answer !

Not in Gnome Screenshot but in the keyboard settings.

Open Budgie Menu > Settings > Keyboard > Shortcuts Tab > Custom Shortcuts > + Button > Command "/usr/bin/gnome-screenshot" and then assign it a key.

It works like a charm, thank you Justin!

Is there a gnome-screenshot command to do a rectangle selection capture?

Add on -a at the end of the command ie
/usr/bin/gnome-screenshot -a
That should do it.

Why is this function not mapped to the print key by default like on all other distros?
