I guess this is a debian name for openssl which is installed by defautl but in a more recent version : 1.0.2n
If you also need the development package, you have to execute

Code: Select all

sudo eopkg it openssl-devel

Installed all and still can't run it even thou the installation went without an error but i had to create folder "/opt" under root directory in order to install it, and also i don't find it under the installed programs in the start menu.

It may be a 32bit program, in which case you need to install openssl-32bit

To create a menu option it requires a .desktop file in the standard directories ~/.local/share/applications and /usr/share/applications

You can create one manually if required by using alacarte
