I have just started using Solus, but sometimes my computer freezes completely when i try to shut down, and I'm forced hold to the on/off button to shut it off...
Is there any way to fix that?
I would say about 9 out of 10 times it happens. And yes, Intel CPU and NVIDIA graphics.
I tried to install the drivers, but now I'm unable to even boot into Solus. After boot menu, it just waits with a black screen and a blinking "_" in the top left corner... (writing from my windows partition).ovichiro wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2018 8:42 pmThe blacklisting takes effect only after a restart - which means you'll have to go through a forced power-off one more time. I think I also installed `xorg-driver-video-intel` before restarting, although I'm not sure this is needed.
Another way I solved the issue for my laptop was to install the nvidia proprietary drivers. It also required a restart.
I don't have any other ideas for now.
