Packaging is dead, long live packaging!

Sat Feb 21, 2015 9:40 pm

So, MASSIVE eureka moment, but.. Evolve OS packaging just got *drastically* simplified.

These .eopkg's are for evince:

Code: Select all

evince-3.14.1-1-1-x86_64.eopkg evince-help-3.14.1-1-1-x86_64.eopkg
evince-devel-3.14.1-1-1-x86_64.eopkg evince-locale-3.14.1-1-1-x86_64.eopkg
evince-docs-3.14.1-1-1-x86_64.eopkg
Here's the file that produced them! =)

Code: Select all

name : evince
version : 3.14.1
release : 1
source : http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/sources/evince/3.14/evince-3.14.1.tar.xz
license : GPLv2
summary : GNOME Document Viewer
# Derpy build dep example..
builddeps :
    - pkgconfig(gtk+-3.0)
description: |
Evince is a document viewer for multiple document formats. The goal
of evince is to replace the multiple document viewers that exist on
the GNOME Desktop with a single simple application.
Evince is specifically designed to support the file followin
formats: PDF, Postscript, djvu, tiff, dvi, XPS, SyncTex support with
gedit, comics books (cbr,cbz,cb7 and cbt).
setup : |
    %configure --disable-static
build : |
    %make
install : |
    %makeinstall
P.S. I need to fix up the dependencies a bit, but cmon. The description is the longest part of the package! :D
Coming soon!!! :)

That description is WAY too long. Should be
A GTK PDF viewer
But alas, AWESOME!
