sd-card is not recognized ?

Mon Feb 05, 2018 2:52 pm

Hello, I dont know if this belongs to this area of support at solus.

SD-Card is not recognized - it seems that the slot for sd-cards in my notebook is simply deaf somehow.

I tried to reinstall package "udisks2" - but this does not help.

I know that at Ubuntu it was same problem and there simply re-installation of udisks2 solved it and SD-Card was then recognized.

Is there else package necessary for this issue at solus - except udisks2 ? - some mmc-package ? ...

I never used udisks2. I always manually mount drives/SD-cards. But, your sure it's not mounted already? Open your file manager(Files). To the left you should see your SD-card mounted there. I doubt you have to click on other locations. But, if you don't see it, then click on (+) other locations.

If you still don't see it. Then just manually mount it. It's also possible there is no driver install for it yet. To find out what's going on.

Code: Select all

lsblk

Code: Select all

lsusb

Code: Select all

lspci
Also try not to hotplug it. How about have the SD-card already inserted and reboot. To see if it gets recognize then.

Return to “Installation”
