Installation question

Sun Feb 25, 2018 4:08 pm

Hello everyone I have just install Solus 3, on one of my Dell Optiplex 755 machines, the installation when OK but when I tried to restart the machine I'm greeted with a blinking cursor not sure what's the problem. I tried adding Nomodeset when I was going to do the installation that allowed me to get the live installer but the system will still not boot into the desktop

I've added Nomodeset to the grub but it does not seen to be saving the input and still will not let Solus boot correctly in to the desktop

Thanks so much

You have to use clr-boot-manager. See here.

Is it just a matter of running those commands?

If you want to make nomodeset (or any other kernel parameter) permanent, this is the way to go.
