tray icons are blinking

Sat Dec 30, 2017 10:44 pm

hello,
when an event happens for windows (for example, opening file manager, minimizing or maximizing windows and etc) all of my applications tray icons are blinking once for each event.
they go for a sec and return back.
I checked and realized, they all are in Budgie settings -> panels section -> Bottom panel -> `System Tray`
what should I do because it's really annoying?

This sounds like a tricky one to help diagnose. If you run:

Code: Select all

sudo journalctl -f

While this happens, is any output from anything added when it happens?

this is the log but it seems to be no error loged.
I do something like opening natilus and minimze and maximize windows and my tray icons are blinked but there is no error I think

Code: Select all

No, I'm sorry, I don't think I can help any more. There's too little to go by and I don't really know where else to look if the journal isn't showing anything, sorry! :( I saw that you did post another post about your proprietary graphics card driver not working well when installed. I wonder if the two are related somehow?

I believe disabling animations will stop the blinking

Having the same problem . I can confirm that by disabling animations the problem disappears. Is there any other way to fix this ,while animations are turned on?
