FreeCAD on Solus

I have installed Solus-3-Budgie in place of Elementary yesterday. I need FreeCAD for my job : not in the repository!
I tried get it by compiling sources : just bullshit !!! cMake don't works !
Is there a solution ?
(forgive my bad english, i'm an old guy from France)

The easiest for now is to use the appimage : https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/releases/

When the version 0.17 final will be available, I will package it but it's not for tomorrow because it relies on pyside2/shibroken2 that aren't available in final version too...

I didn't knew "Appimages".
I tried : it works very well.

Freecad 0.17 has been released any chance this could be packaged now ?

I started working on it a while ago but I stopped. I shared what I did here in case someone wants take over the work.
The problem is that this new version requires pyside2/sheboken2 that is still something under development and obviously won't have a stable release before long. It should be discussed in #Solus-Dev to ask if an exception could be allowed for this.
