System tray icon issue

Wed Oct 18, 2017 4:35 pm

Hi,

I have been building an eopkg package for Gnome Encfs Manager. Everything is working fine except that the icon in the System Tray (Budgie Applet) is not displayed correctly after install. I have to manually run the following commands to display it correctly:

Code: Select all

sudo touch /usr/share/icons/hicolor
gtk-update-icons-cache
Is there something while building/installing that I could do to fix it or is it something that the original developer would have to take care of himself? As it's the first time I build a package, I'm not completely sure  Btw, the icons are provided by the original developer in SVG, could that be the issue?

Also, by default, some icons are installed in /usr/share/icons/ubuntu-mono-dark/status/ . Is there a way to avoid this while packaging as it is quite useless for Solus' users?

Thanks!

Marius

I have a similar issue. Every now and then, on a reboot, the Wi-Fi icon in the system tray won't work.
