Keyboard shortcuts

Sun Aug 02, 2015 12:25 am

Like the title said, keyboard shortcuts (a la Ubuntu) would be really nice (super+w, super+space, super+"1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0" for fav shortcuts, etc etc)

Just throwing this here, I know a lot of people use those feature and it could bring more people to Solus and Budgie DE

Yeah, you can do that with any distro but not a lot have them by default.
Having a ready to use out of the box distro make a difference I think.

It comes with defaults already set. We have them already for opening the Menu, changing workspace etc. What other function do you want shortcut keys added for?

A keyboard shortcut for the Raven sidebar would be nice. To bring it up at the touch of a button would be awesome.

How would I go about adding a keyboard shortcut for the terminal - something like win+t?

Many thanks

Open "Preferences", got to "Keyboard"

On the bottom of the list add a new shortcut (+)

Name: "Terminal/Bash/Shell" (whatever you like)
Command: gnome-terminal &
Shortcut: Type "super" plus "T"
