Atheros 9380

Thu Dec 21, 2017 5:53 am

Evening,

I've been experimenting with Solus on a netbook with excellent results and I'd like to move to it full time on my desktop rig. My only concern is support for the above wireless chipset which I have on a TP-Link WDN4800 PCI-E adapter. I couldn't see it listed on the supported chipset list when I searched. Does anyone know if it will work out of the box or is it going to be a struggle like my AE6000 dongle and Ubuntu?

Cheers.

PS: Very impressed with the stability and ease of use. There just comes a time when one can't be bothered fixing and fiddling with things to work.

Atheros is typically very well supported on linux, working out of the box with open source drivers.

afaik this chipset should be supported out of the box with the included ath9k driver
