Solus drops wifi connection

Tue Jan 09, 2018 8:19 am

Hi all,

I noticed a couple of times that Solus drops my WiFi connection completely. Meaning it has to reconnect again. I never experienced this with any other Linux distribution. My laptop has the onboard Intel Wireless 3160 WiFi adaptor and i'm about 4 meters away from the modem/router without any objects blocking the signal (i.e. concrete wall with iron reinforcing bars). It happens randomly and several times in 1 session. It happens on both frequencies (2.4 GHz and 5.0 Ghz).

Anyone here with an idea why this happens
My laptop:
MSI GE70-2PE*Quad core Intel Core i7-4710HQ*Kingston 16 GB RAM*Intel 4th Gen. Integr. GPU/NVidia GeForce GTX860M*Qualcomm Atheros Killer E2200 Ethernet/Intel Wireless 3160

Have you tried disabling the power save feature for the wireless adapter?
