how to downgrade Nvidia drivers?

Sun Jan 14, 2018 3:20 pm

Hello...
I've run into some troubles with latest Nvidia drivers (VGA output resolution capped at 640x480, seems to be common problem, as my research shows), so I want to try to downgrade Nvidia drivers to 340 or even 304. Nouveau driver is no-option because of terrible 3D performance.
Is there any how-to on how to do that? Is it as spimple as installing "nvidia340-*" packages? Any gotchas? Don't want to forget something, I am still newbie with Solus...
TIA..

With the nvidia drivers, you require to have the matching drivers and kernel installed and booting into (otherwise you get version mismatch and they won't load).
