Download the driver here. Run the autorun script.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/se ... p-196753-1

open up terminal in the same locations as the autorun script file is. Me I just right-click and open in terminal, while I'm at the GUI File Manager. Where the autorun script file is located at.

How to run the script.

https://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/run-execu ... ll-script/

Example

chmod +x autorun

./autorun

Sudo if need to.

sudo ./autorun

If it fails. Try navigate in the Linux folder and run the install.sh instead.

chmod +x install.sh

sudo ./install.sh

Make sure printer is on. After install this, try to run your printer now.

Is it possible the user double-clicked the driver file instead of running the script? That's what it looks like to me without actually making the file executable.

The file should be checked to see if executable (can run a properties view from the file manager).

If not executable, run from the Terminal:

sudo chmod a+x filename

This is what I see. No letters, just blocks
