Problem nr. 1)
Inside Software center I found a program named "utsushi" (epson image scan).
When I try to use it, my Epson L365 finally start to work - but once the scanning process is finished, there is no output file, i.e. utsushi doesn't save the scanned png/pdf in any choosen folder. Thanks in advance for any idea on how to fix this problem.
Could you run utsushi from a terminal and see if errors occur while scanning process is being finished please ?

Hi kyrios, thanks for your reply.
I tried both with "utsushi" and "sudo utsushi" - but the problem is still here, there is no output file, i.e. utsushi doesn't save the scanned png/pdf in any choosen folder.

Nothing appears in the terminal ?
I have submitted a patch to update utsushi but the changelog doesn't mention any bugfix, only drivers for new models.

When I run utsushi in terminal, normal utsushi window is opened and nothing appears later in terminal.

During the scan the file is there in choosen folder and I can even check its properties/permissions. After the scan the file vanishes.
I'm not an expert but maybe it is something with permissions - how can I check if utsushi has permission to save files in choosen or any other folder?

You have write permission in your home folder so try to set it at something like ~/Documents or if it is just for a test you can save to /tmp

It doesn't work.
I've made a short video of what exactly happens:
http://cromalternativemoney.org/slike/v ... n_scan.mp4

I don't know if this is normal but now I noticed that during the scan process (0:16/0:38), in the upper left corner of the utsushi window - the scan source "EPSON_L365_SERIES" becomes greyed out.

Is there any chance to include the new utsushi version into this friday sync?

Hi kyrios,
I just found on Google one very similar, solved utsushi problem, where scan itself is processing, but no image is saved and also no error occurs:
https://github.com/utsushi/utsushi/issues/21

“paddy-hack commented on Jun 1, 2016
I think there's a bug in the setting of the colour matrix values. It's passing values with a "," as the decimal "point" instead of the "." expected. If so, it's a locale issue. What is the output when you execute that command?”

“paddy-hack commented on Jun 1, 2016
I just reproduced your problem by calling convert from the command-line. This is just what utsushi does under the covers anyway, so that simplifies things. Replacing all the "," with "." fixed the convert invocation. I think that
LC_NUMERIC=C utsushi
will work around your problem for now.”

Unfortunately I don't know how to check if this is the same situation as mine, and what to do if that is the case?
