Hi sunnyflunk, thank you very much :)
Please bear in mind that I'm not shure if my Solus is 100% ok because I made a lot install/uninstall of various packages (for example "gtk2-engine-murrine" and "gtk2-engine-murrine-32bit") and probably some modifications while attempting to get my scanner work - as soon as new Solus 4 comes out I will make a fresh new install.

Here's the entire content of a file "log.txt" generated after executing terminal command "utsushi 2> log.txt":

Ok same deal - files etc here

You can download the graphicsmagick-1.3.26-12-1-x86_64.eopkg file (not the -devel file) and install it via:

sudo eopkg install ~/Downloads/graphicsmagick-1.3.26-12-1-x86_64.eopkg

Or where ever it is located

Heyla sunnyflunk,
my Epson L365 is finally fully functional, both printing and scanning now works ok - thanks man :)

I tried to save scan in "pdf", "jpeg" and "png" and there were no problems encountered.
I suppose that your complete solution will also soon come in official way? Please bear in mind that in Solus fresh installation there's an error both with iscan and utsushi:

Code: Select all

Gtk-WARNING : Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "murrine"

Here's the entire content of a file "log.txt" generated with "utsushi finally ok" after executing terminal command "utsushi 2> log.txt":

Code: Select all

Gtk-WARNING : Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "murrine"
To clarify, does this prevent iscan and utsushi from loading? Or is it just an output from running it in the terminal? (often related to theme used)

If I remember well, it was an output from running it in the terminal - without preventing utsushi from loading. I can't tell the same for iscan because except terminal "Gtk-WARNING", there was also another error in GUI:

Code: Select all

Could not send command to scanner. Check the scanner's status.

This warning can be ignored.

I am very happy now with utsushi and in practise I don't need iscan at all.
But for your info and if other people maybe have problems with iscan, this is my current situation: gtk2-engine-murrine is installed in my Solus; when I click on "Image Scan! for Linux (iscan)", I get the small window in the center of the screen with error message "Could not send command to scanner/Check the scanner's status" and that's the end of the story - iscan doesn't load at all.

Hello,
Epson L365 scanning is broken again. The same old problem: with using utsushi, once again scan itself is processing, but no image is saved.

You'll need to use the one I sent you. It's not suitable to push that to the repo and I couldn't figure out how to make the proper changes to the tooling.

Thank you very much for your reply. Do I need to use your version of utsushi or graphicsmagick? Or both?

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/3jwzz3ncfm4u ... eopkg?dl=0
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/j3yo6sm0epnm ... eopkg?dl=0

sudo eopkg install ~/Downloads/utsushi-3.32.0-4-1-x86_64.eopkg
sudo eopkg install ~/Downloads/graphicsmagick-1.3.26-12-1-x86_64.eopkg

All the above are correct?
Also, I must exclude utsushi/graphicsmagick from general updating?
