What's this say? I have a feeling you may have an older intel chip

Code: Select all

linux-driver-management status && inxi -G

So this is after uninstalling the nvidia driver? Cause it's not using it, so may not be installed correctly

Optimus Screen tearing

Fri Mar 10, 2017 12:17 am

I've got the new optimus implementation working, but I'm getting some annoying screen tearing when scrolling or actually doing anything. Does anyone have anything I can try?

I've added the following to may /etc/X11/xorg.conf file, but it didn't help:

Section "Module"
Load "modesetting"
EndSection

Section "Device"
Identifier "nvidia"
Driver "nvidia"
BusID "2:0:0"
Option "AllowEmptyInitialConfiguration"
Option "metamodes" "nvidia-auto-select +0+0 { ForceFullCompositionPipeline = On }"
Option "AllowIndirectGLXProtocol" "off"
Option "TripleBuffer" "on"
EndSection

Graphics: Card-1: Intel Device 191b
Card-2: NVIDIA Device 139b
Display Server: X.Org 1.18.4 drivers: modesetting,nvidia
Resolution: 1920x1080@60.02hz
GLX Renderer: GeForce GTX 960M/PCIe/SSE2
GLX Version: 4.5.0 NVIDIA 375.39[/code]

What does this say? (looking for some commonalities)

Code: Select all

linux-driver-management status
