KDE Connect

Thu Aug 03, 2017 11:37 am

I found KDEConnect in the software repository and installed it, but cannot find it anywhere in my installed software.

Can anyone tell me how to get it to work in Solus Budgie please. :?:

I think it will be in your control center settings panel, I'm not using KDE at the moment so I can not check for you ;)

I cannot see any mention in settings. I am not using KDE but Budgie. perhaps you can only use it with KDE.

Pretty much. There is an applet that may enable some functionality to be used when not using plasma that may be added in the near future.

So basically, you cannot use KDEConnect unless you are using KDE.

You indeed can use it without KDE. It has several command line options that can be used to connect it to a phone, or as stated the kdeconnect indicator which I have trialed and works to a certain extent.

It's not in the repository as more testing needs to be done on it before it can be released to users.

I too would love to have this working at some point. I came over from KDE Plasma to Solus and miss this functionality.

Other than that I am truly enjoying Solus 3.0 Budgie.

Thanks
