Packages Mysteriously Removed?

Wed Feb 07, 2018 8:30 pm

Hi,

First of all, thanks so much for the distro. I am thoroughly enjoying it.

I did experience some strange behavior, however.

Today, when I started my system, I got "failed to start session" at the login screen. After doing an eopkg check and update that didn't solve the problem, I found in my eopkg history this:

That would do it. I got my system working again after rolling back before this operation. What I would like to know is: How could something like this have happened? I don't imagine I would've done any of this removal manually, so I'm curious as to how this could have happened, whether it was some side-effect of something I might have done or whether something else is afoot.

Ideas?

Have you removed any software lately? If removing a lower level package, it can take a few packages out with it. Looking at the list, my guess would be removing python3 would cause the rest to be removed
