Sat Jan 16, 2016 9:16 pm

Hi friend!!
I'm trying Solus. I was Linux Mint user from Mint 4 Daryna. I used other distributions just for taste it.
I left Mint for a while to use Solus Eveline, and a loved it!
Now I installed Solus, I don't know how to install programs out of the repository.
I wan to install Opera Browser, Clementine and other, but I don't know how. I new to learn to create a .pisi file.
I was reading some post, but it's difficult to me.
Can you please help me, please??

I found this:
http://groni-g.blogspot.com.ar/2014/12/ ... linux.html

How can i install others program.
I found a lot of information to create .pisi with PiSiDo, but not using terminal.

Thanks!!
Sorry for my english.

Instructions for Opera are here

Clementine isn't in the repository yet, add yourself to the CC list of the bug requesting it here to be notified when it's added.

I think, the problem is it couldn't find argentine version of Opera.
ar is about argentinian spanish.

No problem, I'm trying Vivaldi now, it's very nice.
I installed it but flash don't work. I need pepperflash-plugin to make it work.
I remember that Opera also needs pepperflash-plugin.
I need to know how to install programs that are not in Solus repository. You can you guide me please?

Thanks!!!

ar is just a tool used to extract the deb file. It should still work. Ahh ok, seems we missed it in the build deps, I've fixed it now, please try again.

Install flash-player-nonfree from the Software Center or from terminal:

Code: Select all

sudo eopkg it flash-player-nonfree

In Linux Mint had the same problem with flash in Opera, I solved with pepperflash-plugin.

Looks like we'll have to look at pepper-flash
