Asus USB-AC56 wi-fi driver

Mon Apr 09, 2018 12:43 am

Dear community,

I am going to give Solus a try, so I started today with booting the latest version live from USB stick to check the compatibility. Most things were detected right away but, unfortunately, it was not the case for my sound card (HT Omega eClaro) and USB-AC56 wifi adapter (I believe it is based on Realtek chipset). Since I am only connecting to Internet via wireless on that PC it means I cannot do anything like updating or installing additional packages from inside Solus to get it to work. Could you point me to anything that I could download first and then use offline to get my wifi adapter to work?

Any help is greatly appreciated,

I use the small nano sized adapter (panda ultra 150 b/g/n). Works great on all my distros including ubuntu based and Solus.

Sorry I can't help re the sound card . . . is there built in sound on motherboard if the card is pulled?
