Can't Make Bootable Usb except from Gnome

Tue Apr 17, 2018 6:16 pm

I can't make my usb bootable from Windows (I tried Rufus and Universal Usb Installer) and from Deepin Usb Maker or anything else. The bootable usb made from above application displays success at last but the BIOS doesn't find and .efi file to boot from.
But when I make the same usb bootable from image writer of Disks of Gnome, it works perfectly.
Note: The iso is perfectly fine and I have checked sha256sum.
Is it a bug or a limitation or what?.

That's because you don't use the correct options in Rufus.

Ohh thanks. Didn't see that.
And another query, why don't Solus get point releases like the manjaro does. I would be easier for the new users to join because they don't have to update their system again after installing.
Also, after update solus crashes and only shows a blinking cursor. I can get to tty but I have no idea what to do.
I guess the point release option might solve that one.

Return to “Installation”
