Keyboard layout

Mon Jun 04, 2018 11:03 pm

Hello everyone!

I have this keyboard

Image

I believe this is US International pattern, but Im living in Brazil so I need to write in portuguese. I already tested all the US International layouts and I still cant use the accents correctly or even use Ç, am I missing something on my configs ?

I'm brazilian too, if you use the same layout as me [ ' + vowels ] to accent and [ ' + c ] to cedilla, to fix that behaviour just add [US Intl] layout again then go edit the file below (must be as root)
/usr/share/defaults/etc/environment
add this two lines inside to load cedilla module over [US Intl] layout.
GTK_IM_MODULE=cedilla
QT_IM_MODULE=cedilla
Then restart session or reboot system.

Sorry, forget the code above after some research o Solus guts, I noticed that any change in [environment] file will show error on [ eopkg check] command then I found a better way:

Code: Select all

 sudo echo export GTK_IM_MODULE=cedilla >> /usr/share/defaults/etc/profile.d/cedilla.sh ; sudo echo export QT_IM_MODULE=cedilla  >> /usr/share/defaults/etc/profile.d/cedilla.sh ; sudo chmod +x /usr/share/defaults/etc/profile.d/cedilla.sh
This commands will create a file named cedilla.sh in /usr/share/defaults/etc/profile.d that will fix the layout behaviour.
