I don't know nothing about PlatformIO
Is this output seems right after installation?
Usage: platformio [OPTIONS] COMMAND [ARGS]...

Options:
--version Show the version and exit.
-f, --force Force to accept any confirmation prompts.
-c, --caller TEXT Caller ID (service).
-h, --help Show this message and exit.

Commands:
account Manage PIO Account
boards Embedded Board Explorer
ci Continuous Integration
debug PIO Unified Debugger
device Monitor device or list existing
home PIO Home
init Initialize PlatformIO project or update existing
lib Library Manager
platform Platform Manager
remote PIO Remote
run Process project environments
settings Manage PlatformIO settings
test Local Unit Testing
update Update installed platforms, packages and libraries
upgrade Upgrade PlatformIO to the latest version
If it's right remove it PlatformIO installation on Software Center and install PIP then start a terminal application and install using pip command:

Code: Select all

sudo pip install -U platformio

We have just added the python-semanticversion in the repository. It will be available with the next sync, but there is another problem : PlatformIO requires an outdated version of python-click. Still have to figure out what to do with this since other applications also use that dependency.

Thanks for replys !

I removed PlatformIO installation on Software Center and

Code: Select all

sudo pip install -U platformio

Worked well ! That's a good beginning...

I'm quite lost for the moment with that products I will try using it with VSCODE ... and see...

( I just wanted a simple Arduino IDE as on FEDORA & CEntOS :) )

Best regards

Hello,

I'VE FINALLY INSTALLED ARDUINO-IDE IN 'OFF-LINE' MODE,
By downloading arduino-1.8.5-linux64.tar.xz from https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Software
and simply clicking on install.sh in the extracted folder. :)

Everything runs OK,
And no need to create group to access to Serial Port... wich is very nice feature !
( Immediate access to Arduino Boards via USB Port ( once selected ) for Serial Monitor or for programming ).

Thanks again.
Best regards
