boot partition

Thu Jul 12, 2018 1:55 pm

Normally I use a boot partition. It might be me, but the solus installer does not offer me the option to chose a partition as boot partition. Every other distro I have run does offer it. Why can I only chose / and /home?

If you're looking to have an EFI/boot partiton you're likely going to have to make it yourself.

The live image contains GParted which you can use to make this partition with the correct flags (boot and efi). Once the partition is made, the installer should recognize the EFI partition and install automatically.

It's not ment to be an EFI boot partittion. It's just a separate partition that I normally mount at /boot. All my linux distro's use /boot / and /home but solus does not let me choose the boot partition. It exists. It's bootable. It just doesn't show up like in any other distro. I think that's a little weird.
